Methods' Food Management System

 

Our users have the satisfaction of having one vendor for both their total hardware and software support. The software is "user-friendly" with on-line help available.

Our knowledgeable staff is just a phone call away. We will customize any module to meet the needs of our clients. Our growing database of clients consist of over 120 locations.

Modules:

Serving Line Management (SLM)

Processing of participants during serving line, SFS7 report, Free/Reduced/Paid count, income, extra sales tracking, billing, after school snack, and more.

Written in a 4GL language, PROGRESS, which allows the application to be ported across many platforms such as:

—Win XP Pro/7

— Linux

Menu driven for ease of use

Help comments on screen

Various reports, including:

—Alphabetical and numerical listing of students

—Breakfast, lunch, snack, and prepayment

—Listing of participant history

—Teacher homeroom listing

"Second trip" through serving line is allowed

Tracking of five (5) different lunch meals

After school snack program

Use of scanners for "single" student identification card

Both adult and student guest numbers are available

Many more features included in software

 

Inventory Management System (IMS)

Processing of participants during serving line, SFS7 report, Free/Reduced/Paid count, income, extra sales tracking, billing, after school snack, and more.

Office Management System (OMS)

Produces SFS8 reports, in-house printing of individual SFS7 reports, comparison to previous year's figures in various reports, and more.

Written in a 4GL language, PROGRESS, which allows the application to be ported across many platforms such as:

Various reports, including:

—SFS-8A and SFS-8C reports

—Cost of food reports for both commodity and purchased foods

—Running balance report for each school, along with an overall district picture¬†including previous year comparisons

—Operations reports for breakfast and lunch

—Income and expense summary report by month for district

Data can be entered into the system from each school through on-line transmission via the SLM system, or manual input.

 

Bid Management System (BMS)

Tracking of school requests, vendor responses, low bid selection, bid awards, and purchase orders. Interfaces with IMS for notification of shipments to be received.

—Listing of vendors

—Listing of items with bid specifications

Allows for "all or none" produce bid.
